As a result of Covid-19 JustEat saw their order numbers doubling, Deliveroo kept growing their company and went through IPO and UberEats kept adding more dining establishments and choices for consumers to choose for.
For nearly a year Just Consume UK didn’t broaden much and it took some time to broaden to several cities and offer customers with a good restaurant choice. JustEat’s business design was perfect, they would bring customers to dining establishments and in return it would charge a commission cost, a fixed sign-up fee and other service costs from dining establishments including the option to rank on top of the search list within the Just Consume site and app. By then, JustEat would deal only with dining establishments that had their own fleet of motorists so JustEat didn’t have to deal with that part of the experience which was very expensive and difficult to handle.
In 2013 what has become the greatest threat to JustEat in the UK was born– Deliveroo. Their property was different and their dining establishment focus was completely various from JustEat. Deliveroo focused more on premium dining establishments that normally would just have dine in alternatives and didn’t do shipment. Deliveroo’s company model resembled JustEat apart from the fact that they would manage their own fleet of chauffeurs and provide that as a service to dining establishments in exchange for a greater commission. This made it possible for Deliveroo to provide premium food, at a greater cost to more types of customers. In less than a year Deliveroo became preferred and broadened quickly.
3 years later, in 2016, we saw UberEats releasing in the UK. The brand was currently well known due to its moms and dad business Uber. Expansion took place rapidly and rapidly UberEats was ready to combat for a piece of the marketplace share.
